I will always remember that moment when a friend told me, right upon meeting me, “You are a channel.”
Three years ago, a few months after moving to the beautiful island of Ibiza, I set the intention of meeting other psychic mediums like myself. Apart from my mother and my now estranged sister, I knew no other people who had similar gifts. Back then, I didn’t even know that manifestation was a thing, but I was already a natural at it.
And so, as you would expect from yours truly, three psychic mediums showed up in my life almost the same week—within 10 days, to be precise. I thought, “The universe heard me!”, still unaware that I was creating this. I didn’t know yet that, as Layla always says, “we [are] powerful creators”.
The first psychic medium I met was the person you’ve heard me refer to as my Significant Other™ on the podcast. The second was a girl I was introduced to by a mutual friend on the island. At a villa party, I met the third girl. The three of them immediately became the closest people in my life for the next couple of years. And it’s the last of the three that said to me that fated phrase, one warm night around a pool at some Ibicenca villa.
At that time, I knew I wanted a spiritual business (among other things), but I didn’t know what that would look like. It was very clear I had intuitive gifts. And I knew in my soul I was meant to serve a large audience. But I wasn’t sure where to start, so, as a 3/5 Manigen, of course I started throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what would light me the fuck up.
My first proverbial spaghetti was giving astrology readings. Astrology had been my passion since I was 8 (my father had even taught me how to draw charts manually), and because I also had the ability to read energy, I thought it would be the perfect career. To me, astrology requires both cosmic literacy—a term I’ve coined to describe the knowledge of the stars, the geography of the cosmos, and celestial mechanics—as well as the ability to read macro-energetics, another term I’ve coined, this time to describe the planetary energies, as opposed to what I’d call micro-energetics, the energies of individual, human souls. In other words, astrology being part science (left-brain, if you will), part intuition (right-brain), and me being very balanced in this regard (a typical Andromedan trait—more on this later), I thought I had possibly found an aspect of my purpose (spoiler alert, I had not).
So here I was, introducing myself for the first time as an “intuitive, astrologer, and psychic medium” to my new friend, sitting in a pool chair. As it turned out, she was also a psychic medium herself. “I knew it!”, she squealed gleefully. “I could see it in your aura from afar when you arrived!”. She had been awakened to her gifts for three years. I had been awakened to mine for only a few months. I elaborated on my story and told her how it all started with visions and hearing in my head a voice that sounded like that of a man who looked like Jesus. “That’s because it IS Jesus!”, she said, amazed. “You are a channel”, she proclaimed. A what? “You’re more than just a medium. You’re a channel. You are here to bring messages from higher dimensions.”
You know deep in your soul when words are telling the truth—especially when you’re an intuitive. I was told by these newfound friends several times about how I had extraordinary abilities that would only grow exponentially over the next couple of years. They were right. Fast forward three years later, and I did, ultimately, find an aspect of my purpose, and a very important one at that: vocal channeling.
Thanks to Human Design, I have come to understand that my path is not meant to be linear. That my purpose is meant to be multidimensional—quite literally! And that I am meant to be multi-faceted. And so, I can never be “just” a vocalist. I can never be “just” a music producer. I can never be “just” a podcaster. I can never be “just” a businesswoman. And I will never be “just” a cosmic channel. For that matter, I might very well also be a writer, a TV host, a star in my own reality TV show, and a touring singer who sings in light language. We’re just getting started.
Back to the vocal channeling. You would think that after discovering and then listening to Abraham Hicks daily like my life depended on it, I would get the memo. You would think that after discovering Bashar more recently, I would get the memo. While my soul, or higher consciousness, had been guiding me the whole time for months, it took one specific video to trigger a deep remembrance.
One day, I saw a video of Lyssa Royal Holt channeling for Reuben Langdon’s series on Gaia TV. Half-way through the video, I started sobbing inexplicably. These were not the typical tears of a sensitive, psychic empath girlie, moved by the beauty of the channeling—although it was indeed very beautiful. It was way deeper than that. And as someone committed to developing her emotional intelligence way beyond what most of humanity was yet capable of, in order to become one of the New Earth leaders she knew she was meant to be, the girl knew these tears were tears of deep soul remembrance. It’s me; I’m girl.
At that point, Layla had been coming through for a few months. And my connection to that soul aspect of mine accelerated my desire to evolve as a channeler and understand everything about my galactic (and outer galactic, even!) origins. Which ultimately led me to that video. And to a promise and prayer I made to myself, both the me in the present time and the me in the future, in the Bootes constellation: “Layla… If you give me the wisdom to make my wildest dreams come true, I promise to dedicate my life to delivering this cosmic wisdom to the rest of humanity.”
